So  about my journery:   
I Picked up my first guitar at 15.   I started playing, practicing and getting better ..  Always jamming with friends and playing out when ever possible.   I played coffee shops,  battle of the bands,  bars, and literally every establishment that would have me.  Through this time I started to record myself on a little mini recorder.

At some  point I  early on i Figured out to record a song with many layers through bouncing  2 tape recorders  and  layering each part.  Eventually I bought a cheap tascam 4 track.  This gave me more options and more parts to layer. 

All this time the  digital side of making music was starting to become more popular.  People started using computers to  record and mix music.  The technology was clunky at first, with cheap sounding plug-ins and other processing. It progressed to where most everyone was mixing "in the box"..It soon became the way most people worked.

Over time outboard gear in huge racks and mixing board began to fade.   People could make music with a D.A.W. (Digital Audio Workstation) like Protools, Cubase, and Ableton, to name a few.   People could create drum sounds and patterns, guitar modelers and synth stuff that will blow your mind.  There was now endless tweakability and endless tracks to layer your all elements of your song.   The plugins emulated gear that had used in the racks of the big commercial studios and became very good, very fast.

Back to my story: All I wanted was to have a nicely sculpted sound for demos to share with other musicians, clubs, and for streaming.   I think most musicians do want this, because now you can share what you made through streaming platforms instantly  With a click of a. button. You're music today can be accessed wordwide to milllions. So I guess put your best foot forward and get a demo.

I Firmly believe that in order to be  discovered that there was a need  for a proper recording of your band to present to bars and clubs as well as potential fans.  People aren't going hire you based on your sexy lead singer (lol maybe they will) but seriously You need a nicley balanced polished song to present you and your band properly to the world
